CHAPTER ORGANIZED JANUARY 1966

The Simpson County Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized in January 1966 by Mrs. J.V. Hardcastle, State Consulting Registrar of KSDAR. The first regent was Miss Frances Richards. There were 19 charter members: Mrs. Joe Blewett, Mary Dyne Claypool, Jewel Eubank, Mildred Eubank, Mrs. Jack Ferguson, Mrs. E.L. Gillespie, Mrs. Robey Harris, Mrs. L.G. Kitchens, Mary Ellen Richards, Frances Richards, Mrs. Jack K. Robey Mrs. Lewis Rutherford, Mrs. Howarth Shugart, Mrs. J.O. Street, Mrs. D.D. Travelstead, and Mrs. L.E. Blevins.
